The project “IVS-LOK – Lane-Specific Localization for Intelligent Traffic Systems” arose from the working group “Communication and Localization Technologies for Networked Vehicles” and was intended to create the basis for lane-selective positioning of networked vehicles. IVS-LOK is an essential component of the initiative “Synchronous Mobility 2023” and was successfully completed after three years. The project was funded within the framework of the R&D technology funding of the Sächsische Aufbaubank, supported with EFRE funds of the EU.
In this project, Metirionic supplied a high-precision sensor network for determining distance, angle and obtaining raw data for position determination. This was used in the test phase of the project as a geodetically independent surveying system to verify the track-accurate localization developed in the project based on other technologies.
